Sharon and Michael Condon's 2008 Crystal Red Metallic Coupe

Sharon and Michael Condon

CORVETTE:
2008 crystal metallic red coupe with ebony and champagne interior

IS THIS YOUR FIRST CORVETTE?
As a couple, we first had a 2002 white coupe with black interior. The first corvette for Michael was purchased early in establishing a career.  Having had frequent vehicle changes, I noticed a 1962 , fawn beige with champagne interior , listed for sale in the Fresno Bee during a visit with my parents.  I took a look and decided I needed to have that car.  Although the body and interior were in reasonable condition, I soon found I could not keep up with the mechanical repairs…………….so long car!

WHAT FIRST ATTRACTED YOU TO CORVETTES?
Sharon's brother Paul and sister-in-law had a 1998 or 9 coupe black on black. Riding with Paul, being the speedster he is, peaked our interest.  Jim and Mary Bartylla lived in Sun City Palm Desert along with Paul and Judy. They belonged to the Palm Desert Corvette Club. Ultimately, Jim and Mary  moved to Springfield in Rocklin.  We all got together.  After taking a test drive in Jim and Mary's magnetic red 2001 coupe, the hunt was on to acquire the white 2002 Coupe.

HOW DID YOU COME TO ACQUIRE THIS CORVETTE
While we had been members of RCCC,  Performance Chevrolet became our generous sponsors.  We purchased the 2008 coupe enjoying their fair offerings.

WHAT  MODIFICATIONS , IF ANY, HAVE YOU DONE TO THIS CAR?
Other than a little added bling, we have been perfectly satisfied with the C6 appointments.

WHAT MODIFICATIONS, IF ANY, DO YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR THIS YEAR?
We have no further modifications planned.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT CORVETTES?
Corvettes have always caught the attention of Americans.  It is always great to receive the smiles and friendly  waving of people on our runs.  Also, the greeting from one owner to the other on the highways.  And, the excitement in the drive.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MEMBERS OF RCCC?      WHAT OFFICES HAVE YOU HELD?
We have been members of RCCC for 12 YEARS.  Over the years we have worked with some fund raisers, crab feeds, social functions, a year and a half of providing meeting cakes, chili  cook-off, etc.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT RCCC?
The bottom line:  supporting friends and social activities it provides.
