What first attracted you to Corvettes? When was that or how old were you? When I was about 14, my brother bought a 1963 split window. I remember him taking me and a friend of mine for a ride; we sat in the space behind the seats. He went off to the Air Force and left the Corvette home. I didn't have a driver's license yet but my dad let me drive it around the yard once a month. I was hooked.

How was this Corvette acquired? I bought this off eBay; it was located in Houston. I had a buddy moving there and I rode out with him and drove the car back.

Modifications: Chrome Z06 wheels, chrome lettering front and rear, chrome grills up front. Oh, and lots of under hood bling!

Modifications Planned: Fix the tear in the drivers seat. :-(

What do you like best about Corvettes? The look, feel, and performance of the car. Driving the twisties down Hwy 49 from Auburn to Cool on a hot summer day, top down, Radar Love cranked up in the CD player. Oh yeah, doesn't get any better than that! Well, ok, maybe the 50th caravan back to Bowling Green. Nothing like caravanning down the freeway with 2000 of your Corvette friends.

How long have you been a member of RCC? 8+ years.

What offices have you held or runs you've put on? Roger has been the club Webmaster for the past 7 years.

What do you like about RCC? Lots of different runs. Lots of interesting people. Lots of places to go and Corvettes to go there with.

Other Facts: Roger's first car was a five-year-old 1967 Corvette convertible (blue with a white interior). This was when he was 18. He had saved up $1000 and his mother loaned him another $1000 to buy it from a guy up the street. When he got the 2000 convertible, he gave his 1987 coupe to his 18 year old daughter and so her first car was a Corvette. Like father, like daughter!

Note, the first three photos below were taken on Treasure Island with San Francisco in the background.
